Good morning all ,
I join the forum ,but as soon as I try to post my greetings , it sort of blocks me .
is it my computer or is there somethin wrong with my entry procedure ?

I must clarify some points,
I have been successful previously and I have done nothing different to my entry proceedure from previously . I normally go on the froum Saturday morning Oz time , so i'm confused ??

I 've tried to enter using another laptop and changing password --still be denied access..

here you go Bruce go to that website follow the instructions for setting up the irc program MIRC once your in and have it working pay the $20usd for the software get on with your life mate :) it will look very familiar because its the same program you used to talk to use for years before you went MIA there for a wile.

I casually tried to connect a week or so ago and it worked (without me doing any "joining up to irc" ,.
So, it looks like it works sometimes.
I'll probably go the whole hog and join up .
I like chatting to the crew .

Sorry Wolve, the (my) side of the chat has not worked for a few weeks now .
I generally come on Saturday morning Oz time and say hello to your good selves for an hour or less . But disappointing lately ,I do enjoy chatting with you guys on different topics.
Anyhow, time will fix it up ,I suppose?

Checked it out on the phone... it's indeed not functional... Error message is as follows...

I tried to get on this morning and got the following errors . . .
An error occurred: Program ending: Bad arg length for Socket::pack_sockaddr_in, length is 0, should be 4 at /usr/lib/perl/5.18/Socket.pm line 154.
An error occurred: Connection to unix-domain socket(/tmp/cgiirc-extiwpw2y5a42yt3/sock): No such file or directory

Sorry, I just have not had the time to fix this.
To that matter, I am not entirely sure it will be fixable in it's current form.
(IF) I can make the time I will most certainly try to fix it.
But in the meantime if you install a client such as mIRC the server info that will get you there is
server irc.anotherpower.com
channel #otherpower
if you do not understand how to add that info into the program, an easy way would be to open ANY server and its default room
in that room type
/server irc.anotherpower.com
it will connect to the server, then after about say, 10 seconds type
/join #otherpower
This should load into a window with our normal chat "channel"
From here someone could guide you through properly adding the info so just opening the app would get you where you want to go.
Hope this helps in the meantime, it is a much more adept way of connecting than the web client as well.
