Wet weather here so I decided to build a new stattor for my mill.
it has 43 turns of 1.6 wire three in hand.
-
Any info on your specs here?
What size of blade etc? or is there a post on this already?

Very neat and tidy Shawn.

Yes everyone has seen this mill, there was a post back a bit about a toast stattor it only had two in hand of 1.6
The blades are four meters in diameter oz chainsaw style, neos are 15mm thick 50mm diameter.
I have made small tail adjustments and with this new stattor im hopefull it will live the big wind storm that shows up when you are not home ::)

Blimey Shawn
You've certainly filled that with copper!!
I've been asking at work about the 8mm cable like I used for the drop on my mill so hope to have a price for you in the next couple of days ::) The rate you're going you'll have your mill up before mine!! Just getting to the final sanding on the blades ready for paint.

Well its up and flying again with the new stattor :)
I have not had much wind yet but it picked up for a bit and the first things I noticed was a better match (blade tip speed to alt cutin) I changed blades angle and coil count.
what I found most interesting was the Groan when making power was much much less maby the wedge shape coils compared to the round ones it used to have???
Anyway its good to have it back up I was missing it spinning away, the place is not the same without it.
