Hi Guys ,
I hope all of you are safe and sound after this horrific display from Mother Nature .
All the best.
 Greetings from Down under .

Greg.

Same hopes from the Great White North.

Just west of Baltimore: 36 hours scary winds & 48 hours of rain, even a few snowflakes at dawn....

I'm staying at a well timbered homestead and walking/living under 40 meter tall Oaks swaying in continuous 50mph & 70~ish gusts was unique, with all the trees low/no wind made it to ground level.

Power flickered on and off 25-30 times before it faded off in pulses like a stone skipping on water... I said that looks bad and it was 24 hours before it flickered again, all together off 48 hours so far. The bad part is the surges, 240V turning bulbs double-bright,etc..

One neighbor a ways away had generac propane back up, and cheesily kept outdoor floods on... Second night the next house down got a 3600 rpm screamer gen running for their frig/freezer so that's all anyone could hear all night, Hmnndumdumdum.

Anyhow... Resuming my road trip soon to snag parts for an Airstream restoration to offset fuel charge in by no shipping charges on huge sized items. If any photo ops present themselves Ill share 'em.

    Glad you are O.K. Dan.

Norm:
Sunday evening....about 8 power went off getting by on electricity powered by
me and the wife cranking the ped gen      pedaled an 1hr and a half to watch
TV for an 1hr and a half  plus various other times to enjoy the warm glow of
a 12 watt CFL ....LED's are nice but they seem harsh after a few hours .....
well anyway was like this until about this evening about 8 ....while I was
checking the battery and thinking down to 11.5 .....had to keep on cranking
to watch the last couple of minutes of wheel of fortune.
Would have been an hour or so of cranking.....but then the lights came on.....
Time to plug in the 10 amp 110 volt regular battery charger    *^($%# charging
with PedGen for awhile. LOL.
32 inch LED TV powered by 140/250 watt Whisper inverter (thanks Tom ....wife
doesn't like the pleasant soft whir of inverters with blowers....too noisy !
women !....Good Grief!)
Biggest problem didn't have a large enough inverter to run the blower on the
furnace.....Hey Glen You hear? ....last try 800 watts wasn't big enough.....
(will have to talk this over some day soon)
(11 o'clock ....Use to hear   "Did you take the dog out yet? "
well enough rambling....wish it could be every body only had this small of a
problem with Sandy.

wishing all of you guys and gals the best.....
Norm.
