Odd site for this turbine
« on: March 30, 2012, 07:38:59 am »
I was reading up on vawts, and found this link.. This one stuck me as odd
Maybe its a perspective thing, but isnt this kind of a bad place for a turbine?
Maybe take a few trees down?

Seriously can wind alternators even approach the bird kills sky scrapers and vehicles do?
The difference is there are people to clean up the skyscraper ones so nobody notices, and vehicles throw the carcass to the ditch in time, as if anyone seems to care if a car hits them.

Maybe the PETA type out there need to get their facts a little more in order?

Trying to make power from alternative energy any which way I can.
Just to abuse what I make. (and run this site)

You're right, it looks bad.  Says he is disappointed with the performance, and wants to raise it, so maybe it is
that bad.
The PITA's?  Can't figure them out either.  I guess it takes all kinds to fill life's freeway, but I think some are
on a permanent off-ramp. (or should be)

As for the Moore’s wind turbine, Robinson told the commissioners that he’s a little disappointed with the way it has been working, but said he hopes to improve its performance by raising it from 23 to 30 feet.

Duh.
