Title: Rover's waterfall.
Post by: Rover on June 22, 2014, 03:18:58 pm
This is version 2. Version 1 was removed , along with 2.5 tons of concrete

It is RE powered, pumped by a marine bilge pump. Using small pump now as I test, roughly 30W 500GPH
Work in progress :) , I figure 2 weeks to finish

Yes I know a little different

Thanks,

It keeps me off the streets. The bottom basin is 55 gallons, double walled. So far in 2 days of running no significant drop in water level, so recirculation is not losing anything, and evaporation is low (right now). I still have a lot of boulders, concrete, the final outflow assembly, and slate to do.

Not to mention some electronics, at least a timer. Last one, I had a microcontroller doing the on and off times, water refill (much lower basin volume) , and timed the LED lights. I may get away with a generic 12 volt timer this time after converting down from the 24V source. I think refill on this one can hopefully be done manually, hence the watch on the recirculation losses right now

The only prefabricated purchased portions of this so far is the basin, and the pump. The rest is just off the shelf plumbing parts etc.
