just got a set of new boards for the pj 24v to 240v, they have written on both boards 3kw . have i been duped or are they all the same. i think i read somewhere that they are all the same but there is to much to re-read. they have easy replaceable bolt on fet boards. but the only thing that is really different is a black lead coming out of the top of the control board, i would think that it bolts on to the negative terminal, can somebody confirm this.thanks.

That black wire with the large ring terminal on the newer control boards just connects to your negative battery terminal. Nobody seems to know why it was added but there it is.
