This is the first time I thought about marking them .
Okay. Here is another suggestion, I had about 4 or 5 bad
cases so I carefully cut along a line by design about a 1/4 inch
from the bottom.....but on second thought it might have been
better if I had used a 2" hole saw and carefully cut 2 overlapping
holes so as not to weaken the sides now with that done you would
be certain that the tabs were lined up exactly.
Remember to start with the top battery and line it up with the ones
already in place....I make a little cardboard template so the tab of
second battery lines up with the top battery's tab hanging down to
meet it, as you go along, check to see that the top fits after you
solder
each tab , it might seem picky at the time ....but if you don't...
remember Murphy's law is always right there waiting for you
and you'll be wondering which one it is that you goofed
You won't have to tape the sensor/s against the battery just a small
sliver of cardboard or wood the make it snug against the battery will do.
A few strips of masking tape on the top of the battery s will be enough.
and you're done .
Once it's charged up real good ...I don't charge them until they get down
to at least 12 ? volts if or when they don't seem to be lasting as long as they
did at first ....so of course run them down real low and check ....never know
sometimes one that seemed to be good could be faking it ....I had one and
running it down to about 8 volts and then it suddenly went dead ....but when I
checked each one ...they seemed to be like .8 volt but then one was .000
....so replaced it and gave them a long slow charge to equalize them and now
works as good as original.....only takes one to screw up 11 other Good ones !
Okay nuff of a rant! done for now .....
Let me know when you get them anxious to hear from you .
