Just hit upon an idea to make replacement of NiCad cells for cordless
drills simpler and easier.............
as 6 tabs aren't removed that makes 6 less places to solder...
I could actually have 5 other places to solder if I put pressure points
in the container to push the tabs against the contact points
....which I may do ....and if the user had trouble with any of the contact
points he could solder them himself ....could also include a couple of extra cells
to easily replace
if desired .
This is for Tom's 14.4 drill.
You'll notice that it is about 1/16 inch taller but about an inch shorter....just as wide
as the original.
I'll show you pictures of how I did it.....also how I plan on one doing one for 18volts.
