hiker1:
wandering thru my favorite thrift shop--stumbled upon a solar controller [mark 20] 3 bucks...
not sure if it works? i was thinkin of hookin it up to a 12v batt charger then the outputs to a batt...
my sister has a 5watt. solar panel..not sure if it would work with that..?
how much input voltage can this thing handle ?-says 12volts on it--so i guess it would not work with my wind turbine unless i have a way to regulate the voltage output...........
Wolvenar:
This might be a little help if you have not found it.
As far as wind turbine, rather unlikely it will work.
ghurd:
$3 is a score!
Will not work with wind.
"Back in the day", I considered using them for solar.
The price was a little more than what I thought were better units at the time, but a lot of dealers and installers went with them. I know there are a lot of them still working around this area, though mostly the 4 or 8A units.
I do not know about the larger units like that one, since an 8A array around here is still consided fairly large. Not a whole lot of 16A arrays around here over than 5 years old... if you know what I mean.

hey ghurd..kinda figured it wouldnt work for wind-needs a dump load..or the mill would free spin....might check it out tomorrow --if i cant find a use for it --maybe trade it for one of your
charge controlers?
