Turned down 1 1/2 hp armature compared to original size (diameter not same length).

Neo 40 Magnets (12 of 1.5"x.75"x.25") JB Welded to armature. Two pole.
And hands and fingers JB Welded to
everything. Icky and messy.

Windings retied/revarnished and ready for armature. Note red color in some places (red fingernail polish) for temporary hold of windings.

Armature in and I didn't smash my fingers Dinges, in spite of 360 pounds of magnetic force trying to slam the armature into
the laminations/windings. Just slid it carefully in with both hands in a death grip on the armature shaft.

Testing 1 1/2 hp 2 pole (6 Neo 40's on each pole) on the lathe for volts, etc.
One main winding (split the two that were seriesed) gives 19.4vac open and 18.5 amps shorted at 500 rpm...other winding gives same.
The start/run winding gives 29.8 vac open and 10.75 amps shorted at 500 rpm.
Not so bad for $25 of mags.,and a free motor. But the $600 lathe/mill (on sale HF) and $100 worth of bits/cutters put a dent into the project budget.

Tower for genny, but the crossbars holding the wires out a ways are not parallel to the tower--they are perpendicular to the tower. Using one set of guy wires to earth at the center support bar area.
Very strong design. Maybe. Perhaps.

Picaxe 08M based Dump controller
or pulse charger (desulphator??), or simple solar shunt regulator--it's programmable and the basic board is adaptable. And really uses Gizmo's basic circuit for the voltage sensing part. Thanks Gizmo. Board done with KolorPaint (Linux KDE desktop version of M$ Paint) and the Gimp (Linux version of Adobe Photoshop). Simple boards like this can be done with normal "Paint" type programs easily. Although the "Gimp" is NOT just a paint type program, it's soooo much more.

blades1. 2" x 10" stock. (1 1/2" x 9 1/4")
One blade sawed/planed/sanded out to shape.
White stuff is epoxy filler.

Would have liked a bunch more, but
that 's not available without glueing a bunch at the last two sections closest to the root section, and I'm lazy to boot.
