Title: New way to super insulate homes right around the corner?
Post by: Wolvenar on March 20, 2013, 05:09:25 am
This stuff would be absolutely brilliant as a polystyrene/fiberglass insulation replacement!

I wonder how it holds up in the long term of 30-50+ years.
Cant wait to see it on the market for this purpose let alone the many other uses it may have.

Anyone think it will happen, or will the money grab..
err I mean powers-that-be stop it from happening?

Very interesting.  Wandered around their site a bit, they seem to be serious.  Even offering samples for evaluation.
   Thanks Wolv

Spray foam, R20 per inch. I'm still fond of it since it's an epoxy type reaction, I think, correct me please. Fill a 2x4 stud wall full and you get approximately R75. Encapsulate the attic and you can sleep up there in the summer without AC.
