Title: Another of my recent hobbies is rebuilding boats, and of course fishing :-)

I posted about rebuilding a fiberglass boat here..
http://www.anotherpower.com/board/index.php/topic,18.0.html (http://www.anotherpower.com/board/index.php/topic,18.0.html)

Last years project..
However I am still looking for a good gas motor at a reasonable cost for this boat.
I am hoping for something between 10 to 20 hp.
I have tried the usual, boat and such dealers, pawn shops, watching the junkyards, garage sales, craigslist, ebay..
But none have yielded anything in the $300 range. I know thats really a low dollar amount but I know its doable.
I have a friend that got a 10hp and boat with trailer for $150.. motor needed minor repair work but was a very very good motor.
Yup , jealous, and he doesn't seem to want to find one for me.

Anyone have any ideas where else I can look before summer?
Or have something within the Minnesota area that is either decent or could be with reasonable repair.

To bad that I am in Idaho.   My brother in law gave me a 40 hp even rude, seems he tried to put it in reverse at to high of speed. and got locked in reverse. So he had a person install a 50 hp Chrysler motor on it. And he used all the wiring from the old motor.

Just sitting in my shed taking up room.I have too many boats already.

I   Was given  a 16 ft fiberglass boat.A bit of fiberglass on the crack in the transom and as good as new.But I don't have a trailer. I also have 4 others that I use.!8 ft aluminum jet boat with 350 chev motor and a13ft aluminum jet with 75 hp jet ski motor.12ft car topper an a canoe

Yeah its to bad your not within easy driving distance.
Nice. the reverse thing is an easy fix.
There is a rod that runs down along the side of the drive in the midsection, this pushes the gears in and out of place.
This can easily have problems with water migration so things will stick because of corrosion or sand.
