Venetian Blind Battery Holder
« on: November 01, 2014, 10:58:07 pm »
Here's a quick and simple battery holder even at My speed it only took me less than 5 minutes and on the PedGen about 5 minutes to full charge them!
You take 2 old plastic venetian blind slats cut them to length...just slightly longer than the 5 batteries placed end to end.  the curved sides outward like this
() and tape the edges to form an oval tube a nail warmed just enough to poke
the holes in the wire bales which have a slight bend in the middle a cam effect to press against the end of the batteries .
I connect the charger by slipping one of the quick connect holes over the stub of wire sticking out from the tube .
end of the quick connect looks like this 0_0 squeezing the connection so it's just snug enough to slip on and stay .

hope this helps someone ....
sure beats those little wall wart chargers

Hiker bout the same here ....were both getting older and starting to have more health problems to the point of the wife not wanting to go shopping and would rather have our daughter pick up groceries on the way home from her work.

Seems like the two kids of hers ,since they got their own hi speed internet at home, don't need us anymore .....and since winter like has set in here I wouldn't
care about leaving wife alone in the house .

Oh well still enjoying just puttering around on batteries and stuff.

Glad to hear from you though ......makes my day ,
Norm .

Dunno how you guys deal with that much snow... better break out the Tonkas and a bag of Morton's, Hiker. Tell the Lego guys it's gonna be a long day  ;D

'least that's what they do here, anyway...  ::)
