Reclaimed gold from electronics....
« on: October 14, 2014, 02:15:21 pm »
I'm on a roadtrip to visit relatives and brought along some gold powders I'd reclaimed to show & tell with, we melted them and poured into water so it is oddly shaped --- here is 8.4 grams or $330~ of 22 or 23K gold, it needs to be refined again for purity...

Only metal I have messed with is certain aluminum alloys.   Not worth much, and
not nearly as pretty.

I can see it now.

The newest History Channel reality show.

Electronics gold salvage. Lots of drama, a few alkies going to the spin dry farm. Arguments, hot tempers and pounds of oro.

Should be wonderfully entertaining.  ;D

Not all of it is sold. Got rid of the ATV, log splitter, backup generator and other misc stuff.

Still need to sell off a couple turbines and towers  i cannot use in town.  A 9 footer on a 40 foot 4 leg tower and the 17 footer and its 45 foot tube tower probably the Midnite Clipper and it's Classic 150.

Our expected cash windfall has been indefinitely delayed  so I will probably have to relocate my current solar set up until that happens.

We are actually not completely moved and have 2 houses now. Need to keep the country place lived in and keep a fire going so the water doesn't freeze.

Funny, with all the offers over the years to buy the farm nobody has jumped on it now that it's actually for sale.  :o

Anyway, if anyone wants the turbine systems they are for sale. The 9 footer is flying now but the 17 footer needs a bearing replaced (I think) it turns but locks up and is on the ground for maintenance I will not do.

I don't remember where you are but I know in MO land is going really high.  It don't always sell fast but it is selling high.  Then again my wife says I veiw things twenty years behind current times.  Keep your chin up cause I bet the cash windfall comes at least on the land.  I think people that have money are not putting it in savings accounts that only pay .002 percent interest.
