arrangement of Nicads in a 12 voltbattery pack

I posted this pic for anyone with 12 volt battery pac to check to see if this is how his batteries are arranged
3098-0
positive goes to 1 and negative goes to bottom cell #9

Surely 9 nicad cells in series only gives 10.8V, you'd need 10 cells for 12V??

yeah nominal voltage....there is one at the top ...in the stalk which is added to the
9 in series which makes a total of 12 volts and when they are charged with a
trickle charger provided reaches usually 13.5 or 13.6 before automatic cutoff ....

   It was late last night and I had to quit ....plan on showing later on how I tightly
bunch these together and position these as per Kurt's Craftsman 12volt battery pac.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

For others not in the know this is what happens when just one of these ...dies (0.00v) and the others have to carry the load ....which usually results in a quick charge and.....quick discharge . usually when this happens ....the others soon
follow....so it's best to replace all the batteries in the pack....as most of you already know.
