« on: September 21, 2012, 03:40:50 AM »
dam...............tired of this bs !!  rain and more rain--all dam summer-except for may-that month
was are summer.. floods all over ak. never seen it this bad up here.. last few years its been slowly
going down the drain!   then the winters have been way colder than ever !
ice pack has melted back even more this summer[record melt]--they say thats whats causing the wild weather..
south pole ice pack is growing...whats with that?
they say this is going to be the norm--more rainy summers and colder winters!!
should have taken up my dads offer on taking over his home in cave junction orgon!!
but even there their having wierd weather in the 90s ? dam i could handle that!
still pouring down rain-plus we had how many wind storms come throu--topped out 130 mph along the mountains and coast line-trees down all over the city ............well what can i say-at least ive had a chance to check out my battery back up system !! .. JUST A RANT !
just do it

Hey Hiker.  Always kind of keep an eye on what's happening for weather where you are, and all I can say is
"rant away".

Yeah ,  it's was almost completely dry here for months and then we get 4 inches of rain in 18 hours last weekend. Now the 10 day forecast doesn't have any rain in it.

Two winters ago we had more snow than in the last 15 years combined, then last year I don't think it ever got below freezing.

This year we had 3 weeks of days that got over 100 degrees and a couple of weeks that stayed up around 105 and a few days that went up to 109 (it should be obvious this is Fahrenheit). Now we are getting record low temps here in September.

Not to mention that the Northern Ice Sheets are trying to melt off.

woke up with snow on the ground--normally we dont get snow on the ground untill late october..
well at least the sun came throu--soon melted off the snow around town--but the mountains are all covered in it......not one to waste a sunny day i hit the trail...saw a few sheep up high on another ridge...had some  trail mix..all natural  ..great day!!
just do it

They are predicting possibility of  (S-word) this coming week here.  Your pic, (nice one) reminded me that
we didn't get to the mountains this summer.  Have to make up for it next summer.
