Tom....Do you have any idea how much fun I have....really !
The battery packs you sent me to replace the battery in gave me incentive
Then you gave me that cordless drill...Neat !
I can plug test batteries into it any size....3-12volts the chuck is large enough
to take the (5/8" ) shaft of the ECM that I have hooked to the PedGen,
which has my digital bike speedometer attached .....without any electrical
load just the friction drive is enough.....for instance a 9.6 cordless drill battery
starting at 10.4 takes the virtual bike "down the road" at a speed of 7.2 mph
and after a distance of .3 mile slows down to 5.7mph and voltage drops to 8.4v
pretty good for a small battery in good condition ,  yet another test holding the
chuck in my hand putting the torque settings up to just where it stalls instead
of slipping ....the higher the setting the better the SOC (of course on a bigger battery
I wouldn't be able to hold it at a higher setting but I can hold it at 17 position
even with authoritis.) ever tried it?

A 18volt  drill and battery takes it 1.5 miles at a speed of 15mph and drops the voltage
from 20.6 to 18.7.......
Norm.
things like this keeps my mind young ....body doesn't want to
co-operate tho' .......ah well ! better than 50 yrs. of smoking didn't help
glad I quit that about 15 yrs ago.

Norm;

Glad I could contribute to your youthful feeling!

I didn't "give" you anything. I exchanged things I didn't need / use witth you for rebuilt battery packs that I did need.

New ones were like $50 each so I am well ahead.

Thanks again!

Tom
Do NOT mistake me for any kind of "expert".

Agreed.

If it makes someone like Norm feel better,
we all exchanged items for information or labor,
or prematuraly recycled items before they went into the landfill,
or we sent you stuff so we didn't have to pay to have it recycled.
