IRFB4110
« on: March 05, 2017, 01:28:23 pm »
I have some power projects coming up and looking for a cheap FET with low on resistance.  Lots of choices.  I see these being used in inverters here. I will be paralleling a few and not operating them anywhere near their limits.  Are these common enough that ebay ones would likely be real and not worth copying.  Any bad experiences with these? Wouldn't even mind a copy if they are even close to the spec.  Any other numbers you have found that really cost effective?

The consensus is buy with eyes open and test devices before soldering!!.

10 amp constant current supply, 10 volts on the gate and measure the voltage drop source to drain to check the on resistance of each device. This also allows for making up matched sets if ever you have a need.

I have a 80A 7.5V supply just for that purpose, TTL ain't coming back.  Not much other use for it but high current testing, but when you can buy a late model Xantrex for $43 you do it.
