Modified Craftsman 14.4 battery pack
« on: January 31, 2015, 07:33:32 am »
The easiest way to fit 12 cells into the battery
container was to enlarge what I had .....I figured
and the simplest way was to cut the bottom off
and extend it .
3712-0
simple
3716-1
then 12 cells in series and shove them in the bottom
and attach the bottom and extended sides .
3714-2
and my first endeavor was to just cut a rectangle in the
bottom just big enough for the batteries to fit thru
but the second try makes it easier to add the bottom .
on the second set there are 2 modules of 6 cells each
which I charge each module separately with a 6-7 cell quick charger
....thanks to Dan G
these green plastic clad have a little larger capacity than the cardboard
tube original ones (1800 vs. 1300)
an appreciable difference.
Norm.
Now if I have the pics in order........

Pretty slick Norm.  Nice capacity increase.
